AN ORDINANCE relating to the establishment of voting precincts
amending Ordinance No. 1781 as amended by Ordinance No. 1880, 1988, 2026
and 2061, and in particular amending Section ~ of Ordinance No. 1781 and
Section nS of O~dinance No. 1988, as amended, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~[ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 39, Ordinance No. 17~1, be and the s~ne
hereby is amended to read as follows:
Section $9. Precinct ~8. That the boundary of Precinct No. ~8, shall
be as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Ford Avenue and 1Wth Street;
thence North along the centerline oi' Ford Avenue extended to
the South line of Lot 5, Block 5, Broadview Plat; thence East
along said South line to the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block
5, said Broadview Plat; thence North along the West line of
said Lot 4, extended to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block ~,
said Broadview Plat; thence East along the North line of said
Lot 1 to the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Adams Replat;
thence North along the West line of said Lot 1 extended to the
centerline of vacated 2$th Street; thence West along the center-
line of vacated 2$th Street to the centerline of Ol~npic View
Avenue; thence Northerly along the centerline of Olympic View Ave-
nue to its intersection with the Southerly extension of an
alley, the centerline of which is 2~0 feet more or less West
of the centerline of North Lafayette Avenue; thence North along
the centerline of said alley to a point 60 feet South of the
North lin~ of Lot 1, Tract 2, said Adams Replat of a part of
Sheridan; thenc~ West along a line 60 feet South of and
parallel to said North line of said Lot 1, ~Pract 2, to the
government meander line; thence Northeasterly Easterly, and
Southeasterly along said meander line to its intersection with the
centerline of 26th Street; thence West along the c~nterline of
26th Street to the centerline of Wycoff Avenue; thence South
along the centerline of Wycoff Avenue to the South line of 24th
Street; thence East along the South line of 24th Street to the
Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 2, Maple Garden Tracts; thence
South along the West line ~f said Lot 9 extended to the center-
line of 19th Street; thence West along the centerline of 19th
Street to the centerline of Ford Avenue, the point of
beginning.
S~ction 2. That Section 5~ of Ordinance 1988 as amended by Ordinances
2026 and 2061, be and the same hereby are amended to read as follows:
Section 55. Precinct 41. That the bo~mn, dary of Precinct No. 41 shall
be as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Sylvan Way
and Stewart Road, being the Northwest corner of th~ Southeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 2, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, Willamette Meridian; thence Southerly along the
West line of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of
said Section 2, and the West line of the Northeast quarter of
the Northeast quarter of Section 11, Township 24 North, Range 1
East, W.M. to the South line of said Northeast quarter of the
Northeast quarter; thence Easterly along the South line of said
Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter o£ Section 11 to a
point which~is 30 feet East of the East line of said Northeast
quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 11; thence North-
erly along a line which is 30 feet East of and parallel to the
West line of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 12, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M., to the North
line of Section 12; thence Easterly, Northerly, Westerly,
Northerly, Easterly, and Northerly along the West margin of the
School Board property to the South margin of Sylvan Way; thence
¥~esterly to a point which is 30 feet East of and 30 feet South
of 'the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of the South-
west quarter of Section 1, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.;
thence North 30 fe~t; thence East ~0 feet; thence Westerly
along the centerline of Sylvan Way, which is the North line of
the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 2,
Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M., to the place of beginning.

Section 3. That by the recent annexation of territory of the City
of Bremerton enlarging the voting precincts an5 the forthcoming election,
there exists, and is hereby declared to exist an emergency and this
ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety of the citizens of Bremerton and shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 29th day of December, 1954.
