AN ORDINANCE providing for the conveyance of certain property
of the City of Bremerton to Sinclair Community Baptist Church.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. ~'hat by deed dated April 4, 1953, the United States
of America, acting through the Public Housing Administrator, convey-
ed to the City of Bremerton certain described property of which the
following described is a portion and t~mt said deed has been record-
ed in Volume 574 of Deeds, page 238, and received under No. 582208,
records of the Auditor's Office of Kitsap County, Washington.
Section 2. That proof to the date of the conveyance of said
property the Sinclair Community Baptist 6hutch, a corporation, had
moved upon property described as follows, to-wit:
Portion of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 21, Township 24 North, Range 1 East, Willamette
Meridian, Kitsap County,Washington.
Beginning~at. the Northwest corner of the Southeast quarter
of the ~ortheast quarter qf said Section 21; thence South
OO 34~ 22" West, 17.68 feet; thence South 14032, 12" East,
153.55 feet to the true point of beginning; thence North
89° 47' 11" East, 128.28 feet to the East line of the West
half of the West half of the Northwest quarter of the
Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Sec-
tion 21; thence South 0° 34~ 17" ~Vest, 166.48 feet along
said East line; thence South 89° 47~ 14" West 81.49 feet;
thence North 14o 32' 12" ~est, 171.80 feet to the true
point of beginning,
its church building and by mistake and inadvertence had.moved said
building upon the described property instead of property adjoining
which the corporation owned, and the fact of the improper location
of the church building was unknown to the United States of America
and the Public ~%using Administrator, the City of Bremerton and
Sinclair Community Baptist Church.
Section 3. ~'hat the City of Bremerton has no present or future
contemplated use of said property and the property is not needed by
the City of Bremerton for any municipal purpose and the property here-
in described is a small portion of the larger tract acquired by the
conveyance. ~'hat $600.00 is a reasonable price based on the cost of
acquisition of the whole tract of property conveyed to the City of
Bremerton, which the Sinclair Community Baptist Church is willing to
pay.
Section 4. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Bremer-
ton are hereby directed to execute a good and sufficient quit claim
deed to the property herein described and the City Clerk is directed
to deliver the same to the ~inclair Oommunity Baptist Church upon pay-
ment ~o the City Treasurer of the City of Bremerton of the sum of
$600.00.
APPROVED on first reading this 5th day of May, 1954.
PASSED on second reading by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in auth-
entication of such passage this 12th day of May, 1954.
