AN ORDINANCE providing for the appropriation of funds for which
an insuf£i¢ient appropriation was made in the 1954 budget, and declar-
ing an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREME~TOM DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. *hat at the time of adopting the budget for the year
1954, certain appropriations were made for the City Library and that
subsequent to the adoption of the budget, certain emergency repairs are
required to the library b~ilding which will cost the sum of $205.00 and
there are not sufficient funds appropriated to pay for said emergency
repairs. Zhat it could not have 0een reasonably foreseen that such ad-
ditional funds would be necessary.
Section 2. That there is appropriated the sum of ~205.00 from fun~s
not otherwise appropriated to the City Library for such repairs. That by
reason of the insufficient appropriation heretofore made, an emergency
exists and this ordinance is necessary for the present preservation of the
public peace, health, safety and welfare of the citizens o£ Bremerton and
is required for the carrying on of the necessary library work and for the
preservation of the building and this ordinance shall ~e in effect lmmed~
iately following passage andpu01ication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the }.;~ayor an~ attested by the City Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 5th day of May, 1954.
