AN 0RD!N~]CE relating to C]ivil Defense, providing funds
therefor and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREI,IERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Bremerton in cooperation with
the other incorpo~,ated cities of Kitsap County, Washington, and
Kitsap County, has established a Civil Defense program and that
it is necessary i'or the carrying on of said program 'that the City
of Bremerton contribute a pro rata sha~,e in the amount of
to be used for the purposes of Civil Defense.
Section 2. That at the time of the a~ption of the budget
for 1954 it could not have been reasonably foreseen that such ap-
~r~priatlon woul~ be necessary and that by reason of the require-
ments of CivilDDefense an emergency exists and is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance is necessary for the present preser-
vation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of Bremerton and shall 0e in effect immediately follow-
ing passage and publication.
PASSED unamimously by 'the City Council of the City of Bremer-
ton, signed by the blayor and attested by the Clerk in authemtica-
tion of such passage this 1 Otb day of ~/[arch, 1954.
