AN ORDINANCE providing for the issuance of General Fund Warrants,
and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That it is necessary to issue General Fund warrants
for the purpose of paying~the current running expenses of the City
of Bremerton for the fiscal year 1954 by reason of the fact that cer-
tain anticipatem revenues have not been received and there is not
sufficient amount in the General Fund to pay expenses.
Section 2. The:City Clerk of the City of Bremerton is hereby
directed to draw General Fund warrants to pay current running expenses
in an amount not exceeding 80% of the uncollected revenues anticipated

bear interest at the rate of 3% per annum.
Section 3. That due to the failure to receive revenues as anti-
cipated and the issuance of warrants is required for the carrying on
of the necessary work of theCity and for the present preservation of
the public peace, health, safety ~nd welfare of the citizens of Brem-
~rton, an emergency exists and is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall take effect immediately following passage and publi-
cation.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of Bremertoa,
signed 'by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in authentication of
such passage this 12th day of February, 1954.
