AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Loc-
al Improvement District No. 263, providing for the improvement of Iron-
side~ Avenue from East 13th Street to East 16th Street as in said
ordinance described; providing for the levying and assessing of the
costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land between
the temini and within the boundaries of said improvement district, pro-
viding for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special
fund therefor, and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment
thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON ~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. l'hat the assessment roll for Local Improvement District
No. 263, providing for the improvement of Ironsides Avenue from East 13th
to East 16th Street by the construction of Concrete Curbs and Gutters,
together with the doing of any and all other work in connection there-
with as may be necessary to make such improvement a complete job, all in
accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the Office of
the City Clerk and as~provided by and described in Ordinance No. 2110
be and the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. ~hat each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as
shown in said assessment roll, is equally benefited by said improvement,
and 'that there be and is hereby assessed against e~cb parcel and lot of
land and part thereof,and other property contained in said improvement
district as shown in said roll, including the prope~,ty belonging to the
City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel or lot a~d or part thereof, and other property between 'the
termini of s~id improvement abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said
street and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien
against each p~rcel or lot or part ~hereof against which the same is as-
sessed in said ro~l.
Section 3. £hat for the purpose of this improvement thc e is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Improvement
Fund District No. 263." Bonds bearing interest at 4~ shall 0e issued in
serial numbers from one (1) to Twenty Eight (28) both inclusive, or as
many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said
special assessment due or owing for the uncollected portion of said dis-
trict on the date hereinafter fixed, to be in denominations of One Hun-
dred Dollar Bonds each, except the first which shall 0e For such fraction-
al part of One Hundred Dollars as may be remaining and unpaid on said date
payable from said "Local Improvement Fund District No. 263".
Section 4. That the 8th day of November, 1955, be and the same is
hereby fixed for the date of the issuance and sale oi' the bonds to be is-
sued on account of said improvement.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days from its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Cotmcil, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this Vth day of September,
1955.
