AM ORDI~ANCE rela~ing to Civil Defense, providing
funds ~herefor and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BR~.~i~,~iERTON I~ES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of Brem~rton in cooperation
with the other incorporate~ cities of i~ii~sap County, [~ash-
ington, and Kitsap County, has esta0iished a Civil Defense
program and t[~at it is necessary for the carrying on of
said program t~ac the Ci~-~y of Bremerton contribute a pro
rata stare in t~'ie amount of ~;17~0.00 to be used for the pur-
pose of Civil Defense.
Section ~. That at the time of the adoption' of the
budget for !'9~'5 it could not have been reasonably forseen
that such appropriation woul~ be necessary and thac by rea-
son of the requirements of Civil Defense an emergency exists
and is hereby declared to exist an~i this 0~dinance is neces-
sary for the present preservation of the public peace, health
safety ano welfare oI' the citizens of Bremerton ano s~a!l be
in effect im~ediately following passable and puolieation.
P~SSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the ?,~!ayor anq attested by Ohe Clerk in
authentication of such passase tais 1st day of June, 1905.
