AN ORDINAHCE acceptin~ and incorporating into ~he corporate
limits of the City of Bremerton certain land lying outside the
limits of the City of Bremerton and bein6 Contiguous to the City
of Bremerton and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~!ENTON £X)E,~ ORDAIN:
Section 1o Whereas, a petition signed 0y the owners o2' more
than 75~ of the assessed valuation of' t'he property hereinafter des-
cribed has been filed wi bh the CiZy Council of' the 0ity of Bremer-
ton and the City Council thereafter directed that notice of' public
hearing on said petition Ce given, which notice was ~-~iven on the
25th day of i¥Iay, 1955, anal thereafter a public hearing was held on
the 1st day of June, 1955, an~ followinT such public hearings the
City Council of the City of ~3re~erton has ~etermined to annex said
described, property.
Section 2o ~'hat the following described tract of land is here-
by, an~ 'by Y~l's ordinance is a~]opted and incorporated wlthin and be-
comes a part of the City of ~remerton, to-wit:
That part of the kast quarter of the West half of the
Northeast quaPtap of the Northwest ~uarter of Section 12,
~ Township 24 North, i]ange 1 East, W~llamette ?,leridian,
adjacent to and not included in Halverson Addition, ly-
ing South of East 30th Street an~] East 30th Street
extended.
Section 3. ~'ha't by reason of the a~nexation of said property,
becomind a part of the City of Bremerton, and the necessity of fur-
nishin6 police and fire protection to sai~ aanexed area, an emergency
exists an~ is hereby declared to exist an~ this ordinance is neces-
sary for the immediate preservation of the pu0tic pease and property,
health and safety of the citizens of Bremerton, and ~his ordinance
shall ~e in f'~ll force and effect followin~ passa~:e and puolicazion.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the 0ity of Bremer-
ton, sisned b~' the ~,~ayor ancJ attested by the City Clerk in a'uthen-
tication of such ?asssge this 1st ~ay of June, 1955.
