AN ORDINANCE providing for the appropriation of funds in
the Parks and Recreation Departmen~iBuc~get for which an insuf-
ficient appropriation was made in the 1957 Budget, and declar-
ing an emergency.
TitE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES
Section 1. That a certain sum was appropriated by the
1957 Budget for Item 2-I,laintenance and Gpe~.~ation in the Depart-
ment of Parks and Recreation which has, or will, b.? the 31st
day of December, 1957, have ~een expended ia full anc'~ t~at by
reason of making an insufficient appropriation for this item,
it is necessary that tae s~.,'m of Nine Hundred (~900.00) Dollars
be appropriated to the aforesaid. Item
Section 2. ~'hat at the time ol the adoption of said Bud-
get it ~ould not have been ~easonably l'orseen ~ ~at certain
insurance rates would be much greater than the.. wei-'e in the
year of 1956 anO t.~at by reason of the insufficient appropria-
tion heretofore made it is necessary that the above appropria-
tion 'be made from funds not otherw~i.~e appropriated, and the
respective sum is hereby appropriated to the fund hereinabove
set out.
Section 3. That by reason of t~e insufficient appropria-
tion there exists and is hereby declared to exist,an emergency
and this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of Brem-
erton and shall be in full force and effect immediately follow-
lng passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Brem-
erton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 25th day of September, 1957o
