AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Loc-
al Improvement District No. 270, providing for the improvement of Iron-
sides Avenue, from Shore Drive to East llth Street, as in said Ordinance
described; providing for the levying and assessing for the costs and ex-
penses thereof against the parcels and lots of land between the termini
and within the boundaries of said improvement district; providing for
the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor
and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Zhat the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement ~istrict
No. 270 providing for the improvement of Ironaides Avenue, from Shore
Drive to East llth Street by the construction of five foot concrete side-
walks, concrete curbs and gutters, together with 'the doing of any and
all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such
improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the ~lans and Speci
-
fications on file in the Office of the City Clerk and as provided by
Ordinance No. 2219, the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as
shown in said assessment roll is equally benefited by said improvement
and that the~,e be and is hereby' assessed, against each parcel aha lot of
land and part thereof and other p~operty contalned in said improvement
district as shown in said roll, including any property belonging to the
City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel and lot of land and or part thereof and other property be-
tween the termini of said improvement, abutting upon, adjacent or proxi-
mate to said improvement, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declar-
ed to be first lien against each parcel or lot or part thereof against
which the s~me is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is here-
by created and established a special fund to ~ known as "Local Improve-
ment Fund District No. 270". Bonds, bearing interest at 4% shall oe
issued in serial numbers from one (1) to 37 inclusive, to as many as
may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said district
on the date hereinafter fixed, to be in denominations of $200.00 Bonds
each, except the firs't which shall be for such fractional part of
$7,380.18 as may be remaining and unpaid on said date, payable from said
"Local Improvement Fund District No. 270".
Sectionv4. That the 15th day of ~ovember, 1957 be and the same is
he~eby fixed for the date of issuance and sale of bonds to be issued on
account of said improvement.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and publication as provided
by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 18th day of September,
1957.
