AN ORDINANCE providing for the issuances of General Fund
Warrants, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON LOES OfiDAIN:
Section 1. That it is necessary to issue General Fund
warrants For the purpose of paying the current running expenses
of the City o£ Bremerton i'or the fiscal year of 1957 by reason
of the fact that certain anticipated revenues have not been
received and there is not sufficient amount in the General
Fund to pay expenses.
Section 2. Thei City Cl~rk of the City of Bremerton is
hereby directed to draw General Fund warrants to pay current
running expenses in an amount not exceeding 80~ of the u~col-
lected revenues anticipated in the budget adopted for the fis-
cal year 1957, and said warrants shall bear interest at the
rate of 3~ per annum.
Section 3. Zhat due to the failure to receive revenues
as anticipated ~nd that the issuance of warrants is required
for the carrying on of the necessary work of the City and for
the present preservation of the public peace, health, safety
and welfare of the citizens of Bremerton, an emergency exists
and is hereby declared to exist and ~his ordinance shall take
effect immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk in
authentication of such ~as~age this 6th day of March, 1957.
