AN ORDINANCE relating to the~ection, re-erection, oper-
ation, possession and control of si~ins, amending Section 103-
5 of Ordinance No. 2162 and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 103-5 of Ordinance #2162 be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 103-5. Marquee Sign means any sign affixed
to any hood or canopy, supported from and extending
beyond the wall of any building. The lowest point
of a marquee sign shall not be less than eight (8)
feet above the ground or pavement below and shall
not project more than 'two thirds (2/3) of the dis-
tance from the property line to the curb line. The
method of attachment of the sign to the marquee
shall be subject to the approval of the Building
Inspector.
Section 2. That an emergency exists, affecting the public
peace, health, and safety and this Ordinance shall become effect-
ive immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Brem-
erton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 13th day of February, 1957.
