AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for the repair and
alteration of parking meters, not provided for in
the Budget for the calendar year 1956, and declaring
an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRE~/tERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That subsequent to the adoption of the Budget
for the calendar year 1956, it has become necessary for the City
of Bremerton t8 make certain alterations and repairs to its
parking meters w~ich could not have been reasonably forseen at
the time of the preparation and adoption of the B~dget for the
y~r 1956. That the estimated cost of making such repairs and
alterations to the parking meters will be the sum of Thirty-
six hundred ($3,600.00) Dollars, and there are no funds to pay
the said cost of making such repairs and alterations; and there
is hereby appropriated !he sum of Thirty-six hundred ($3,600.00)
Dollars to the Parking Meter Maintenance Item of the Traffic
Control Budget.
Section 2. That by reason of the necessity for the making
of said repairs and alterations to the parking meters within the
City of Bremerton which could ~ot have been reasonably fo~seen
at the time of the a~option of the Budget, thez~e exists and is
hereby declared to exist an emergency which affects the public
peace, health,.and safety of the citizens of 'the 0fry of Bremer-
ton, and this Ordinance shall be effective immediately follow-
lng passage and publication.
PASSED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signe~.,by the ~iayor and attested by the City Clerk
in authenticatiSn of such passage this 7th day of March, 1956.
