AN ORDINANCE creating the position of bookkeeper in the Department
of Parks and Recreation, providing for the appropriation of funds for
w~ich no appropriation was made in the 1956 Budget, abolishing the
position of bookkeeper, and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. There is hereby created and established in the Depart-
ment of Parks and Recreation the position of bookkeeper, and ther, is
~ereby appropriated from funds not o~herwise appropriated in the sum of
One hundred ($100.00) Dollars to pay salary and wages in connection with
such a position.
Section 2. £here is hereby abolished the position of bookkeeper
part-time in the Department of Parks and Recreation and there is here-
by transferred from the appropriation for such a position the stm~ of
One Thousand Five Hundred and Silty-Five ($1~.565.00) Dollars to the
position of bookkeeper in the Department of ~arks and Recreation.
Section 3. That by reason of the establishment of the position of
bookkeeper in the Department of Parks and Recreation, there exists and
is hereby declared to exist an emergency, and this Ordinance is neces-
sary for the present preservation of the public peace, health, safety
and welfare of the citizens of the City of Bremerton, and is required
for the carrying on of the necessary work under the law for the depart-
ment herein described, and shall take effect immediately following
passage and publication.
PASSED ~NANIMOUSLY by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the ~iayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication
of such passage this 29th day of February, 1958.
