HomeMy WebLinkAbout2276 AN ORDINANCE relating to the regulating and licensing of
punchboards, spindle games and similar devices, fixing fees,
providing for enforcement and for the issuance and revocation
of licenses, repealing Section i of Ordinance No. 2248 and
amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1809 as amended.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1809 as a-
mended by Ordinance No. 2175 be and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 4. The license year shall be the fiscal year.
All license fees shall be payable on the annual basis and where
the license is issued on and subsequent to January 1st in any
one~.annual fee shall be as follows:
Location Owner's Trade Stimulant Oevice License -- $7.50
per annum for three such devices and $5.00 per annum for
each such additional 3 devices.
Operator's Trade Stimulant Device License -~ $100.00 per
annum.
Wholesale Distributor's Trade Stimulant Device License
....... .$100~00 per annum.
Every person coming within more than one of the above
classifications provided in this section shall.p2y the full
license fee required of each particular classification.
In addition to the license, suitable stamps in the form
prescribed by the City Treasurer shall be affixed to each such
device as is described in Section i hereof, by the Wholesale
Distributor, before such device may be leased, displayed, used
or sold in the City of Bremerton, and the fee for each such
stamp shall be an amount equal to 4% of the potential value
or yield of any such device. Such value shall be determined
by multiplying the number of tickets or slips used in or on
each device, by the money purchase price of each such ticket
or slip, irrespective of the method of attachment of eact to
the device.''
Section 2. That Section i of the Ordinance No. 2248 be
and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That an emergency exists affecting the public
peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Brem-
erton and that this Ordinance shall become effective July l,
1958 following passage and publication.
APPROVED on first reading this 28th day of May, 1958.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
