HomeMy WebLinkAbout2265 ORDINANCE NO. 2265 AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the asses~nnent roll for Local Improvement District No. 272, providing for the improvement of Brashem Avenue and East 23rd Street, f~om Cascade Trail to Nipsic Avenue, as in said Ordinance described; providing for the levying and sssess]~ for the costs and expenses thereof against the parcels and lots of land be- tween the termini and within the 'boundaries of said improvement district; providing for the collection thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor; and fixing the date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof. THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement. District No. 272 providing for the improvement of Brashem Avenue and East 23rd Street, from Cascade Trail to Nipstc Avenue by the construction of five foot concrete sid~lks on west side of Brashem Avenue and concrete curbs and'gutters on both sides of Brashem Avenue and East 25rd Street, togeth- er with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvem~nt a complete job, all in accord- ance with the Plans and Specifications on file in ~he Office of the City Clerk and as?provided by Ordinance No. 223~, the smne is hereby approved and confirmed. Section 2. ~i'hat each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown in said assessment roll is equally benefited by said improvement and that there be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement district as shown in said roll, including any property belonging to the City of Bremerton and the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and lot of land and or part thereof and other property be- tween the termini of said improvement, abutting upon, adjacent or, prox- imate to said improvement, and such amounts so assessed 'are hereby de- clared to be first lien against each parcel or lot or part t~ ereof a- gainst which the same is assessed in said roll. Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is here- by created and established a special ftmd to be known as "Local Improve- ment Fund District No. ~72~. Bonds, bearing interest at 4~ shall be is- sued in serial numbers from one (1) to ~ inclusive, to as many as may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said district on the date hereinafter fixed, to be in denominations of ~00.00 bonds each~ except the first which shall be for such fractional part of :~6,524.44 as may be remainin~ and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Im- p.rovement Fund District No. 2?2". Section 4. That the 28th day of March, 1958, be an5 the same i~ hereby fixed for the date of issuance and sale of bonds to be issued on account of said improvement. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days from and after,it? passage and publication as provided by law.
