AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 282, providing for the improvement of the Alleys
in Blocks 1 and 6, Dietz's Addition, as 'in said Ordinance described; pro-
riding for the levying and assessing for the costs and'expenses thereof
against the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the
boundaries of said improvement district; providing for the collection
thereof; creating and establishing a special' lUrid'therefor; and fixing the
date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CIT~ OF BRE~ERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That t~e Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District
No. 282 providing for the improvement of the Alleys in Blocks 1 and 6,
Dietz's Addition, by'proper grading, base preparation and surfacing with
bituminous materials, together with the doing of any and all other work
in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvement a
complete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications On file
in the Office of the City Engineer amd as~provided by Ordinance No. 2352,
the same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as
shown in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement
and that there be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of
land and part thereof and other property contained in said improvement
district as shown in said r011, including'any pr0perty belonging to the
~City of Bremerton and the ~espective amounts in said roll set against
each parcel and lot of land and or part thereOf'and~other property be-
tween the termini of said improvement'abutting upon, adjacent or proxi-
mate to said improvement, and such amounts So'assessed are hereby declar-
ed to be first lien against each parceI~or lot or part thereof against
which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That'for the pUrpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Impro ~ment
Fund District No. 282." BondS, bearing in'retest at 4% shall be issued in
serial numbers from one (I) to 26 inCluSive, to"as many as may be neces-
sary to provide for the uncollected portion of Said~district on'the date
hereinafter fixed, to be in denominations of $100.00 bonds each, except
the first which shall be for such~fractional part of $100.00 as may be
remaining and unpaid On said date, payable from said "Local Improvement
Fund District No. 282."
Section 4. That the 4th day of December, 1959, be and the same is
hereby fixed for the date of i~suance and sale of bonds to be issued on
account of said improvemmnt.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and publication as provided
by ~aw.
PASSED by the'City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by'the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 7th day of October,
1959.
