An Ordinance approving and confirming the assessments and assess-
ment roll of sidewalk Repair Project X-iV, for the repair by reconstruc-
tion of sidewalks and driveways in the City of Bremerton under Resolution
No. 1061, and levying and assessing the amounts thereof, according to
benefits, against the several lots, tracts and parcels of land and other
property as. shown on said roll; providing for the collection of said ass-
essments and authorizing the issuance of sidewalk proJec~ fund warrants
to pay the cost and expense of said improvements.
THE CITY OF BREM~TON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. '£hat the assessments and assessment roll of Sidewalk
Project Fund, Project No. X-17, for the repair by reconstruction of cer-
tain sidewalks and driveways across sidewalks in the City of Bremerton
under Ordinance No. 2331 and Resolution No. 1061 as the same now stands,
be, and the same hereby are, in all things approved and confirmed.
Section 2. '~'hat each of the lots, tracts and parcels of land and
other property shown upon said roll is hereby declared to be specially
benefited by said improvement in at least the amount charged against the
same, and that the assessment appearing against each lot, tract or parcel
of land and other property is in proportion to the cost that each separate-
improvement bears to the respective abutting property. There is hereby
levied and assessed against each such lot, tract and parcel of land and
other property described in said roll, the amount finally charged against
the same thereon.
Section 3. Said assessments may be paid on or before the 4th day
of September, 1959, without interest, but thereafter all deferred pay-
ments shall bear interest at the rate of 4 per cent per anmnn up to and
including the due date of the last installment. Thereafter any unpaid
balance shall draw interest at the rate of 12 per cent per annum. Any
portion of any assessmen~ not :~aid within thetime aforesaid may be paid
to the City Treasurer in three installments, the first of which shall be
due, payable and delinquent on the 4th day of January, 1960, 'the second
installment shall be due, payable and~linquent on the 4th day of May,
1960; and the third installment shall be due, payable and delinquent on
the 4th ~ay of September, 1960.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify and trans-
mit said assessment roll for the collection of the assessments fixed and
set forth therein to the City Treasurer for collection, pursuant to law.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately fol-
lowing its passage and publication, as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton, signed by the
Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authentication thereof this §th
day of August, 1959.
