AN ORDINANCE establishing a Sictewalk Project Fund to ira-
plo ~nt Ordinance No. 2331; making an appropriation to said
Fund g for revenue to said fund; providing for expert-
therefrom; and declaring an emergency.
THE ITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Secti, 1. In order to implement Ordinance No~. 2331, which
adopts Cha~ 35.69 of the Revised Code of Washington providing
for the cons :ction and rec~nstruction of sidewalks, it is nec-
essary to esta tsh, and there hereby is established a "Sidewalk
Project" Fund.
Section 2. ch sidewalk project shall be numbered in ac-
cordance with assigned by the City Engineer.
Section 3. The~ shall be paid into said Sidewalk Project
Fund all assessments, ~terest, and costs collected pursuant to
said RCW 35.69.
Section 4. Payment~ 'rom said fund shall be made to con-
tractors doing such constr ~tion or reconstruction, or to any
City deparL~nent doing such rk by force account, and to reim-
burse the City for eng and overhead costs, and for any
funds that may have been adva ed.
Section 5. There is hereb ~ppropriated in the 1989 budget
$5,000.00 for such sidewalk pro~ .
Section 6. That by reason of necessity of repairing
defective sidewalks which could.not been reasonably forseen
at the time of the adoption of the et for 1959, there exists
and is hereby declared to exist an ency which affects the
public peace, health and safety of the .tizens of the City of
Bremerton, and this Ordinance shall be ~ective immediately fol-
lowing passage and publication.
APPROVED on first reading this 3rd day June, 1959.
PASSED on second reading unanimously by th Council of
the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and ~sted by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this t day of
July, 1959.
