AN ORDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 279, providing for the improvement of Cherry Ave-
nue, from Sheridan Road to 875~ North; Lindberg Place; Sunset Vista (for-
merly called Giblett Place) and both alleys in the Plat of Halverson Third
Addition, South of Giblett Place, as in said Ordinance described; provid-
ing for the levying and assessing for the costs and expenses thereof a-
gainst the parcels and lots of land between the termini and within the
boundaries of said improvement district; providing for the collection there-
of; creating and establishing a special fund therefor; and fixing the date
for issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District No.
277 providing for the improvement of Chervy Avenue, from Sheridan Road to
875' North; Lindberg Place; Sunset Vista ~formerl2 Giblett Place) and both
alleys in the Plat of Halverson Third Addition, South of Giblett Place, to-
gether with the doing of any and all other work in connection therewith as
may be necessary to make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance
with the plans and specifications on file in the Office of the City Engin-
eer and as provided by Ordinance No. 2326, the aame is hereby approved and
confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement and that
there be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part
thereof and other property contained in said improvement, district as shown
in said roll, including any property belonging to the City of Bremerton and
the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and lot of land
and or part thereof and other property between the termini of said improve-
ment, abutting upon, adjacent or proximate to said improvement, and such a-
mounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien against each parcel
or lot or part thereof against which the same is assessed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special fund to be known as "Local Improvement
Fund District No. 2V?". Bonds, bearing interest~at 4% shall be issued in
serial~numbers from one (1) to 30 inclusive, to as many as may be necessary
to provide for the uncollected portion of said district on the date herein-
after fixed, to be in denominations of $200.00 bonds each, except the first
which shall be for such fractional part of $200.00 as may be remaining and
unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund District No.
277."
Section 4. That the 21st day of August, 1959 be and the same is here-
by fixed for the date of issuance and sale of bonds to be issued on account
of said improvement.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty (30) days from and after its passage and publication as provided by
1 aw.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this 24th day of June, 1959.
