AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of Lincoln Avenue from 15th
Street to its northern terminus; also a 7 foor alley lyin6 parallel
'to and 90 feet west of Lincoln Avenue from 15th Street to its North-
ern terminus; and that alley iyin~ E:~st of Chester and South of 15th
Street No.~.th of the Shepard Addition.
THE CITY' OF' BREI¢[ERTON DOES Oi'iDAIN:
Section 1. That the City Council of the ~City of Bremerton de-
clared its?intention to vacate a portion of Lincoln Avenue from lbth
Street to its northern terminus; also a 7 foot alley lyin~ parallel
to and 90 feet West of Lincoln Avenue from 15th Street to its North-
ern terminus; and 'that alley lying East of Chester and South of 15th
Street Nopth of the Shepard Addition, by resolution No. 1042 dated
the llth day of February, 1959, and setting the 18th day of Marc~,
1959 as the date upon which sai(~ resolution would be heard, and that
notice of said hearing has 0een posted and ~iven in the manner pro-
vided by law.
Section 2. That the following Street and Alleys more particu-
larly described as follows:
That Lincoln Avenue from 15th Street to its Northern term-
iaus; also a 7 foot alley lyin~ oarallel to and 90 feet west
of Lincoln Avenue ~rOm 15th Stree2 to its Northern' terminus;
and that alley lying East of Chester and South of 15th Street
North of the Shepard Addition,
be and the same hereby is declared vacated, [~ut the City of Bremerton
does hereby reserve and retain an easement of any public utilities,
includinE sewer and water lines, telephone and power cables, which
may now be under ~e s~.trface of any of the areas vacated, and the City
of Bremerton also retains the ~igh't to exercise and grant easements in
respect to the areas he?eby vacated for the construction, repair and
maintenance of puOlic utilities and services.
The City Clerk is a~thorized to certify a copy of this ordinance
to be a true and correct copy thereof and ~o file ~he same for record-
ing by the Autidor of ~itsap County, Washington.
APPROVED on first reading this 25th day of March, 1959.
PASSED on second reading by the City Council of the City of Brem-
erton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in authenti-
cation of such passage this 1st day of April, 1959.
