AN OHDINANCE adopting and confirming the assessment roll for Local
Improvement District No. 2V5, providing for the improvement of Pitt Ave-
nue, from East 16th Street North to its termination point; and East 17th
Street; from Pitt Avenue to Perry Avenue~ as in said Ordinance described;
providing for the levying and assessing for the costs and expenses there-
of again.:,t the parcels and lots of land between the.termini and within
the boundaries of said improvement district; providing for the collection
thereof; creating and establishing a special fund therefor; and fixing the
date for the issuance of bonds in payment thereof.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the Assessment Roll for Local Improvement District
No. 278 providing for the improvement of Pitt Avenue, from E. 18th Street
North to its termination point; and East 17th Street £rom P~tt Avenue to
Perry Avenue; by grading, base preparation, surfacing with bituminous mat-
erials, drainage and ~he construction o~ five foot concrete sidewalks, con-
crete curbs and gutters; together with the doing of any and all other work
in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvement a com-
plete job, all in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in
the Office of the City Engineer and as provided by Ordinance No. 2290, the
same is hereby approved and confirmed.
Section 2. That each parcel and lot of land or part thereof, as shown
in said assessment roll is specially benefited by said improvement and that
thence be and is hereby assessed against each parcel and lot of land and part
thereof and other property contained in said improvement district as shown
in s aid roll, including any property belonging to the City of Bremerton and
the respective amounts in said roll set against each parcel and lot of land
and or part thereof and other property between the termini of said improve-
ment, and such amounts so assessed are hereby declared to be first lien a-
gainst each parcel or lot or part thereof against which the same is assess-
ed in said roll.
Section 3. That for the purpose of this improvement there is hereby
created and established a special funci to be known as "Local Improvement
Fund District No. 275". Bonds bearing interest at A% shall~be issued in
serial numbers from one (1) to Thirty-Seven (3V) inclusive, to as many as
may be necessary to provide for the uncollected portion of said district on
the date hereinafter fixed to be in denominations of $800.00 bonds each, ex-
cept ~he first which shall ~e for such fractional part of $S00.00 as may be
remaining and unpaid on said date, payable from said "Local Improvement Fund
District No. 275." --
Section A. That the 13th day of April, 1989, be and the same is here-
by fixed for the date of issuance and sale of bonds to be issued on account
of said improvem~t.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thir-
ty (30) days from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this llth day of February, 1~59.
