AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for the purchase of a billing
machine not provided for in the budget for the catandar year 1959
and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That subsequent to the preparation and adoption of
the budget for the claendar year 1959 it has become necessary for the
office of the City Clerk to acquire another billing machine for the
operation of said office in accordance with law the cessity of which
could not have been reasonably forseen at the time of the adootion of
the 1959 Budget. That the estimated cost of said machine is $100.00
and there are no funds in the item Office Machines, Capital Outlay in
the Clerk's budget for this purchase.
Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated to the said budget
item the sum of ~lO0.O0 from any funds not otherwise appropriated.
Section 3. ~'hat by readon of the necessity of acquiring a bill-
ing machine for the efficient and lawful operation of the Clerks Of-
lice which could not have been reasonably forseen at the time of the
adoption of the Budget for 1959, there exists and is hereby declared
to exist an emergency which affects the public peace, health and safe-
ty of the citizens cf the City of Bremerton, an~ this Ordinance shall
be effective i~aediately following passage and publication.
APPROVED ON FIRST reading this 21st day of January, 1959.
Passed on second reading unanimously by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk
in authentication of such passage this ~Sth day of January, 1989.
