AN ORDINANCE appropriating funds for the installation of a Lift Station
not provided for in the Budget for the calendar year 1959 and declaring an
emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. ~hat subsequent to the adoption of the Budget for the Cal-
enday year 1959, it has become necessary for the City of Bremerton to make
certain corrections in its sewerage system near Trenton Avenue and install
a lift station which installation could not have been reasonably forseen at
thetime of the preparation and adoption of the Budget for 1959. That the
estimated cost of making such installation is $12,000.00 and there are no
funds in the Sewerage Disposal Divsion of the Water Department Budget for
this installation.
Section 2. That there is hereby established the item Lift ~tation,
Capital Outlay, Sewage Disposal .Division of the Water '~epartment Budget and
there is hereby appropriated to the said item the sum of $12,000.00 from any
funds not otherwise appropriated from the current Water Fund of the Water
Department Budget.
Section 3. That by reason of the necessity for the making of said in-
stallation of a lift station which could not have been reasonably forseen at
thetime of the adoption of the Budget for 1959, there exists and is hereby
declared to exist an'emergency which affects the public peace, health and
safety of 'the citizens of the City of Bremerton, and this ordinance shall be
effective immediately following passage and publication.
APPROVED on first reading this 14th day of January, 1959.
PASSED on second reading unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by 'the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk'in authentica-
tion of such passage this 22n~ day of January, 1959.
