AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of
Ordinance 882 as amended by Ordinance
2161, Section 1 relating to licensing
of Pawnbrokers.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Section 4 of Ordinance 882 as amended by
Ordinance 2161, Section I which is codified as BMC 5.10.040 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
The license fee for carrying on the business of pawn-
broker within the city shall be one hundred fifty dollars annually,
payable in advance; and every application for a license shall
be accompanied with no less than one year's license fee in advance;
and before any license shall be issued, the applicant shall file
with the City Clerk, a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars,
conditioned that the pawnbroker will hold harmless from loss
all persons with whom he may transact business as such pawnbroker
and providing that any person who shall be damaged in his property,
due to the negligence or any fraudulent act on the part of the
pawnbroker may sue upon the bond for the recovery of damages for
the amount of such loss.
