ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 (N)
of Ordinance 3147 which is codified
as BMC 15.04.150 relating to water
meter service or removal.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY'ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Section 3(N) of Ordinance 3147 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
A. When it is desired to have a meter removal or reinstalled,
the owner of the premises supplied or to be supplied by such meter
shall file an application in the office of the water department
on forms provided for that purpose and shall pay the actual cost
for such removal or reinstallation plus twenty percent for overhead
and accounting.
B. Where the meter has been removed and where there has been
no active water service for a period of five years, anyone wishing to
reactivate water services to the premises, shall make application
and shall pay the applicable fees as if applying for new water
service.
C. The regulations governing the removal and reinstallation
of a meter shall govern in cases requiring the removal and
reinstallation of a fire hydrant and/or any other facility or
appurtenance of the syst'em.
D. The charges referred to herein shall not make the person
paying such charges the owner of the meter or hydrant installed
which shall at all times be and remain the property of the city.
