AN ORDINANCE establishing the Central
Data Processing Department and establishing
a separate fund for its funding to be
known as the Data Processing Fund.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. There is hereby established the Central Data
Processing Department.
Section 2. The Commissioner of Finance shall be charged
with the administration of the Central Data Processing Department.
Section 3. There shall be employed by the City Council
a data processing manager, staff programmer, keypunchers, and
such other employeees as shall be necessary to carry out the
function of the Central Data Processing Department.
Section 4. The Central Data Processing Department shall
be responsible for conducting automatic data processing functions
for the City, to include, but not be limited to, data entry,
programming, processing operations, scheduling, equipment procure-
ment planning and interdepartmental planning and coordination.
Section 5. That there is established by the City a fund
for the purpose of paying the expenses of this fund, as authorized
by the City Council. The fund is to be self-sustaining by charging
benefitting departments or outside customers a pro-rata share of
the expenses. Initial funding of the department will be as approved
in the 1980 budget.
Section 6. The effective day of this ordinance shall be
January 1, 1980.

day of October, 1979.
PASSED by the City Commissioners of the City of Bremerton,
