HomeMy WebLinkAbout3550 '~ ' 'tion: : : -- _~rney ~ ~ .~, :ngineering~,~ 2remerton Sun ~ AN ORDINANCE declaring the need for condemnation of a strip of land in and through certain real property for the purpose of improving, widening and maintaining a public arterial on Wheaton Way from Sylvan Way to Broad Street in the City of Bremerton; and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF BREbIERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: SECTION 1. That for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Bremerton, said city has entered into a program to improve, widen, and maintain a public arterial on Wheaton Way from Sylvan Way to Broad Street and has caused to be prepared general and specific plans therefor. SECTION 2. T~ accomplish the said public arterial improvemen~ it is necessary to secure construction easements and a permanent right-of-way oVer, across, along, and through and under the pieces of real property described on the attached Exhibit I and incorporated herein. SECTION 3. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to proceed immediately with the condemn~ion for the above described property in the Superior Court for ~ the State of Washington at Kitsap County. SECTION 4. That an emergency exists and fs hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of Bremerton and this Ordinance should take and be effective immediately following passage and publication.
