Tt{E CITY OF BRE~di~RTOi~ DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION I. Bremerton Municipal Code 5.54.210 is
hereb]; amended to read as follows:
TAXICAB METER RATES: Taxicab meter rates
shall be as follows: For one passenger for
the first one-fifth mile, or fraction there-
of, sevent~ cents, thereafter for each
additional one-sixth mile or fraction thereof,
ten cents. For every one minute of waiting
time, ten cents.. For each additional passenger,
twenty cents. No additional passenger shall
be picked up %¢ithout the express consent of
the original passenger.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective

SECTION 3. That an emergency exists in that if
taxicab rates are not changed those ~companies operating such
vehicles within the City of Bremerton will be unable to con-
tinue in operation and ~hat a needed public service will be
