AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorporating
into the limits of the City of Bremerton
certain land lying outside the limits of
the City of Bremerton and being contiguous
with the City of Bremerton and declaring
an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Whereas the City Council of the City
of Bremerton passed a motion declaring its intention to annex the
following described property, and
Whereas the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board
did approve the annexation of said following described property
on April 29 , 1971, and
Whereas an election was held on July 22, 1971,
wherein one-hundred percent (100%) of the residents of the follow-
ing described property voted for the enlargement of the City of
Bremerton by annexation of the described property.
Section 2. That the following described tract of
land is hereby and by this ordinance adopted and incorporated
within and becomes a part of the City of Bremerton, to wit:
1. In Township 24 North, Range 1 East, W.M.
A. That portion of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and NEi/4
of the $E1/4 South and East of the South ROW line of the
Northern Pacific (Bangor) Railroad, all in Section 19.
B. The W 1/2; the NE 1/4 less the SE 1/~ of
the NE 1/4 and less the S 1/2 of the E 1/2 of the S /2
of the ~ 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4; the NW 1/4~bf
the NW /4 of the SE 1/4; the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the
NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4; the West 396 ft. of the S 1/2 of the ~
SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of the SE1/4, all in Section 29.
C. Ail of Section 30.
D. That portion of Section 31 North of the
North ROW line of the Old Belfair Highway.
E. That portion of the W 1/2 of the NW 1/4
and of the W 1/2 of the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 32
North of the North ROW Line of the Old Belfair Highway.
2. In Township 24 North, Range 1 West, W.M.
A. The SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 22.
B'~ Ail of Section 23 less the NW 1/4 of the Nwl/4.
C. The W 1/2 of the W 1/2 of Section 24.
D. The S 1/2 plus the W 1/2 of the NW
1/4
of Section 25.
E. Ail of Section 26 less the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4.
F. Ail of Section_27 less the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4
and less the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4.
G. The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4; and the NE 1/4 of
the SE 1/4 of Section 28.
H. The N /4 of Section 34.
I. The SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4; ~he NW 1/4 of the
NW 1/4; the W 1/2 of the Nv 1/4 of the S~ /4 of the NW
and that portion of the N ~/2 of the SE ~/4 North of the N~rth
ROW Line o{ the 01d Belf~ir Highway less the N 1/2 of the NW 1/4
of the NW /4 of the SE m/4 of Section 35.
J. That portion of Section 36 North of the North
ROW Line of the Old Belfair Highway.
Section 3. There eXists, and is hereby, declared to
exist, an emergency, and this Ordinance is necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public-peace, health and safety of the
citizens of Bremerton, and shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon passage and publication.
PASSED on first reading by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Clerk in authentication of such passage this // ~ay of August, 1971.
