AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance #1959 as amended by
Ordinance #2881, and fixing the rate of interest on
all general City Warrants issued by the City of
Bremerton; and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRkXlERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That ,Section 1 of Ordinance #1939 as amended
by Ordinance #2881, is amended to read as follows:
Section 1
That all general City Warrants dated subsequent to the
effective date of this Ordinance and issued by the City
of Bremerton against any of the funds of the City shall
bear interest at the rate of four per centum (4%)per
annum from the date of presentment of such warrant for
payment at the office of the City Treasurer, and his
endorsement of such presentation thereon, until such
warrant is regularly called by notice, or otherwise
paid or certified, as provided by law.
Section .2. That an emergency exists and is hereby declared
to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the i~ediate preservation
of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of the City of
Bremerton and this Ordinance should take and be effective immdiately
following passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 18th day of March, 1971.
