AN ORDINANCE declaring the need for condemnation of
a strip of land in and through certain real property
for the purpose of constructing and installing a
drainage pipe line; and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That for the public health, safety and welfare
of the citizens of the City of Bremerton, said City .has entered into a
program to construct and install a drainage pipe line in connection
with the drainage of Clares Marsh and has caused to be prepared
general and specific plans therefor.
Section 2. To accomplish the said construction and
installation of a drainage pipe line, it is necessary to secure
property through and over the following described real property:
The North half of the South half of the Southeast
quarter of the Northeast quarter (less the West
660 feet thereof) of Section 2, Township 24 North,
Range 1 East, W.M., in Kitsap County, Washington.
Said pipe line to be constructed across the above described property
on a line described as follows:
Commencing at a point where the Kitsap County Ctares
Marsh drainage centerline bisects the South boundary
survey line of the above described property, thence
in a straight line across the property to a point
where the Kitsap County Clares Marsh drainage center-
line bisects the North boundary survey line of the
above described property.
Section 3. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed immediately with the condemnation for the above
described property in the Superior Court of the State of Washington
for Kitsap County.
Section 4. That an emergency exists and is hereby declared
to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of the
City of Bremerton and this Ordinance should take and be effective
immediately following passage' and publication.

PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this ~~day of September, 1970.
