AN ORDINANCE declaring the need for cDndemnation of
a strip of land in and th_rough certain real property
for the placement of streets, sidewalks and gutters~
directing condemnation of property for such purpose
and the payment of just compensation therefor~ and
declaring sn emergency. ~ ~.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That for the public health, safety and ~elfare
of the citizens of the City .of Bremerton, said City has entered
into a program to extend its street system and has caused to be
prepared general and specific plans therefor.
Section 2. To accomplish the said extension, it is
necessary to secure property for the construction of the said
streets, sidewalks and gutters through and over the following
described real properties:
Parcel 1
The East 13 feet of the following described property:
That portion of Government Lot 2, Section 13, T24~,
R1E, W.M. in Kitsap County, Washington, described as
follows: Beginning on the North margin of 6th Street,
Plat of the town of Bremerton, Washington, as a ~olnt
139 feet East of the Northeast corner of Highland
Avenue and said 6th Street; thence~Morth 100 feet~
thence East 86.60 feet, more or less, to the Yest line
of Washington Avenue~ thence South along Washington
~venue to the North line of said 6th Street; thence
West along the North line of said 6th Street to the
point of beginning; Except therefrom the following
described property: Beginning at the intersection of
the West margin of Washington Avenue and the North
margin of 6th Street; thence Westerly on the North
margin of 6th Street 23.3 feet; thence Northeasterly
to a point on the West margin of Washington Avenue
that lies 30.2 feet Northerly of the point of inter-
section of the West margin of Washington Avenue and
the Norotherly margin of 6th Street; thence Southerly
on the West margin of Washington Avenue to the point
of beginning.
Together with a construction and ~ooting easement
over the Westerly 8 feet of the Easterly 21 feet an~
the Southerly 35 feet of the Northerly 75 feet of the

Tax Lot 17, that portion of Government Lot 2, Section
13, T24N, ~IE, W.M., in Kitsap County, Washington,
described as follows: Commencing at a point 100 feet
North of the Northwest corner of Washington Avenue and
Sixth Street, which point is located on the West margin
of said Washington Avenue; thence West 100 feet~ thence
North 39 feet; thence East 100 feet~ thence South 39
feet to point of beginn'ing.
Together with a construction and footing easement on the
Westerly 8 feet of the Easterly 21 feet and the Southerly
30 feet of the Westerly 2 feet of the Easterly 23 feet of
above-described property.

Together with a const~ctiOn and footing easement on the
Westerly ~ feet of th~Eaa~6erly 21 feet and the Southerly
35 feet of the Wester~y~2.feet~; of the Easterly 23 feet of
Lot 3, containing 470 ~quare feet, of the above-described
property.
Section 3. The City At~e~ne~ ls hereby authorized and
directed to proceed immediately'~w%th the condemnation for the above
described properties' in the SuPeriOr Court of the State of
Washington for Kitsap County.
Section 4. That an emergency exists and is hereby declared
to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the i~'oediate presez
vation of the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of
the City of Bremerton and this Ordinance should take and. be effective
immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously by the City Council of the City of
Eremerton-~ signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk
authentication of such passage this 3rd day of June, 1970.
