the Pate of interest on all senera] City Warrants
issued by the City of Bremerton; and declaring an
emergency.

Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance //1939 is amended
to read as follows:
Section 1
That all general Cit~,~ Warrants dated subsequent to the
effective date of this Ordinance and issued hy the
,,re~erton agains~ any of the funds of the ~"
bear interest at the rate of six per centum (~'
annum frown the date of presentment of such wo~pFant ~oP
payment at the office of the City Treasurer, and his
endorsement of sL~eh presentat!en thereon, until such
warrant is regularly called by netioe, or otherwise
paid or certified~ as provided by la~.
Seetien 2. That an emergency exists and is
declared to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety of the c~tizens
of the City of 8remerton and this Ordinance should take and be
effective immediately following passage and publication.
