Bremerton; and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, the City of Bremerton believes that in furtherance
of the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the citizens of
the City of Bremerton, U-turns within said City, excepting at inter-
sections, should be prohibited; now, therefore,
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. No vehicle shall be turned so as to procee¢~ in
the opposite direction upon any street or highway of the City of
Bremerton excepting.., at street intersections within the City where
U-turns are not specifically prohibited by sign or other traffic
control device.
Section 2. PENALTY PROVISION: It shall be a misdemeanor
for any person to violate this provision and upon conviction thereof
said person shall be fined not more than $100.00.
Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: That an emergency exists
affecting the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of the City of Bremerton, and this Ordinance shall take
effect immediately following passage and publication.
PASSED unanimously on first reading by the City Council of
the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City
Clerk in authentication of such passage this ~ ~day of ~ ,
