Ordinance No. 1792.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Chapter I, Title IV, o~ Ordinance No.
1792 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Cha~ter I~ Title IV
Section 1100. ?roposed amendments, supplementations, or
modifications of the text of this Ordinance, or the Official Zoning
Map made a part hereof, shall first be heard by the Planning
Commission and the decision shall be made and reported by resolution
'-by the Planning Commission within 90 days of the time that the
proposed amendments, supplementations, or modifications were made.
The City Commission, pursuant to public hearing called by them as
PrOvided herein may affirm, modify or disaffirm any decision of the
Planning Commission.
Section 1101. Proposed amendments, supplementations or
modifications may be initiated as follows:
1. By motion of the ~City Commission or the Planning
Commission.
2. By any ~int~re~'6~ 9~rty by making application to the
Planning Commission on ~qrms prescribed by said Commission, accom-
panied by a filing ~ee

2. Posting of copies of the Notice of IIearing in (1) the
Bremerton City Hall~ (2) the United States Post Office in the City
of Bremerton, and, in the event the proposed amendment, supplemen-
tation or modification involves a chan~e in the Official Zoning
.~.'~ap, (_2) posting notices thereof along every road or street abutting
the land as proposed to be changed.
3. Irt the event the proposec] amend~ent, supplementation,
or modification involves a change in the Official Zoning ~.~_ap, written
notices shall be mailed to owners of all lan~ lying within 250 feet
from the exterior boundaries of the land involved in said proposed
changed boundaries, as the names appear on a letter furnished by the
petitioner, obtained from a title company, showing the property
owners of record and their addresses, said notice to be mailed at
least ten (10) days prior to the date of such proposed hearing.
4. The Commission shall diligently observe the foregoin[~
requirements with respect to mailing and posting notices~ but minor
i~accuracies in giving such notice may be waived in the discretion
of the Co~m~ission.
Section 110.~. Hearings for ~,'hich notice has been given in
accordance with Section 1102 hereinabove, may be continue¢~ for ~[,~ood
cause and excevt for written minutes of the body before which such a
.hearing is held, verbal notice to those present of the date, time
and place to which such heari"ng is continued shall be deemed suffi--
cient notice.
Section llO~ The~ Con'm~ission shall hear only one such
petition governing a building or parcel of property in any given
period of 365 days, which period shall commence as of the c]ate the
petition was filed with tt~e City.
Section 1105. ~'.[ithin 90 days of the initiation of the
proposed amendment, supplementation or modification, the Planning
Commission shall report~ to tj~e City Co~m~,ission its decision by

Section 1106. The City Col~m~ission~ pursuant to public
hearing called by them upon application therefor by any mn~:r=sted
party or upon their own order~ may affirm~ modify or disafqirm any
decision of the Planning Commission. The City Co,remission s]~all call
said public hesring as set forth in Section 1102 hereinabove.
