HomeMy WebLinkAbout3049 AN ORDINANCE declaring the need for condemnation of a strip of land in and through certain real property for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a public arterial on 15th Street from Naval Avenue to Lafayette Avenue; and declaring an emergency. THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Bremerton, said City has entered into a six year arterial construction program to construct and maintain public arterials, and~has caused to be prepared general and specific plans for a public arterial on 15th Street from Naval Avenue to Lafayette Avenue. Section 2. To accomplish the said construction and maintenance of a public arterial, it is necessary to secure . .... easements and a fee simple taking through and over the following described pieces of real property: oEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT I: Section 3. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to proceed immediately with the condemnation for the above described property in the Superior Court of the State of Washington for Kitsap County. Section 4. That an emergency exists and is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety Of the citizems of the City of Bremerton and this Ordinance should take and be effective immediately following passage and publication.
