AN ORDINANCE amending Section 201, Chapter
II -- Permits, and Section 402, of Ordinance
No. 2162, relating to sign controls within
the City of Bremerton.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 201, Chapter II --
Permits, of Ordinance No. 2162, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 201. No sign shall be erected,
altered, re-erected or removed except as prescribed in this
Ordinance, nor until a permit therefor shall have been issued,
as provided in this O~dinance.
EXCEPTION: SiEns defined In Section
201-A and 201-B may be e~ec~ed wi~hou~
permits, after approval.
Section 2. That Section 402, of Ordinance No.
2162, is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 402. When h~ging or removing a
sign, the person, firm or corporation to whom the permit has been
issued shall be responsible and shall take such precautions,
to save harmless the City of Bremerton, its officers, agents and
employees, from any and all claims, damages, Judgments and expenses
which may come from ~y negligence of the applicant, his agent~
servants, or employees, and shall place caution slgns, cones,
barricades, or rope guards to protect and safe-guard the pedestrians,
and shall have the name of the sign erector conspicuously posted
on the Job.
Section 3. Approved on first reading this
day of May, 1973.
Section 4. Passed and approved by the City Council
of the City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the
City Clerk in authentication of such passage this ~ day of
