Commerce of Seattle, Washington, to act as Fiscal
and Cremation Agent for the City of Bremerton;
and declaring an emergency.
THE CITY OF BRENERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the authorization contained in
RCW N3.80.110, the National 8ank of Commerce of Seattle, a national
banking association with its principal office in Seattle, Washington,
is hereby designated.as fiscal agent for the City of Bremerton
for payment of bonds and coupons thereof, all in accordance with
the requirements of RCW N3.80.100 through RCW N3.80.160, inclusive.
SECTION II. The National Bank of Commerce of Seattle,
is further designated as cremation agent fo~ the destruction of
paid and cancelled bonds and coupons in accordance with the require-
ments of RCW N3.80.130, provided, however, that the Cemmisai. o,~ of
Finance is authorized to enter into a contractual agreement with
the said agent providing fo~ and regulating the destruction and/or
cremation of any general or revenue obligation bonds or interest
coupons that have been cancelled or paid after one year from said
cancellation or payment, and further provided that a certificate
of destruction as required by RCW N3.80.1NO giving full descriptive
reference to the instruments deetroved shall be made by the person
or persons authorized to perform such destruction, and one copy
of said certificate shall be filed with the Commissioner of Finance
of the City of Bremerton. No certificate of destruction shall
itself be destroyed until all of the bonds and coupons of the issue
or series described thereon shall have matured and have been paid
or cancelled.
SECTION III EFFECTIVE DATE. That an emergency exists
affecting the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the
citizens of the City of B~emerton, and this O~dinance shall take
effect immediately following passage and publication.
