Plumbing Code, 1973 Edition
SECTION 1: Chapter 4, Section 401, Subsection a) of
the Uniform Plumbin~ Code, 1973 Edition, is hereby amended to
read as follows:
(a) Drainage pipe shall be cas~ iron, galvanized
steel, galvanized wrought iron, lead, copper, brass, ABS,
PV~ or other approved materials having a smooth and uniform
bore, except; i. That no galvanized wrought iron or galvanized
steel pipe shall be used underground, and shall be kept at
least six inches above ground. 2. ABS or PVC installations
limited to group H, I and J (Division 1) occupancies and
such installations cannot exceed thirty feet in height when
measured from the base of the stack to the ceiling of the
· top floor.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading this
~ day of September, 1975.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this day of September, 1975.

Section 3. Uniform Mechanical Code -- Amendements.
a. Theru is hereby added t° the Un~form Mechanical
Code ~304 a new subsection which shall read as follows:
22. For one to six gas piping outlets%-.~' $3.00;

b. A portion of "Insulation Types" follcwing Uniform
Mechanical Code, Table No. 10-D is hereby amended to read. as
follows:
A. One inch of fiberglass or rock-wool insulation
with minimum density of 0.'65 pound per cubic foot or
two layers of 1/4 inch air cell asbestos or two layers
of 1/4 inch air cell foil.
Section 4. Uniform Ptumbinq Code --.~m~endment. Uniform
pluK~ing Code, ~401(a) is hereby amended to rea (as follows:
(a) Drainage pipe shall be cast. iron, galvanized
steel, galvanized wrought iron, lead, copper, brass,
ABS, PVC or other approved materials having a smooth
and unifcrm bore ~cept: !. That no ~alvanized wrought
iron or galvanized steel pipe shall be used underground
and shall be kept at least six inche~ aLove groUnd. 2.
ABS or PVC installations limited to ~group H, I and J
(Divison i) occupancies and such installations cannot
exceed thirty feet in height when measured from the
base of the stack to the ceiling of the top floor.
