AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorporating
into the corporate limits of the City of
Bremerton certain lands lying outside the
limits of the City of Bremerton and being
contiguous to the City of Bremerton.
WHEREAS, written notification of their intention to
commence annexation proceedings was received by the City Council
on May 19, 1976, from the onwers of not less than ten percent
(10%) in value according to the assessed valuation for general
taxation purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, on the 7th day after receipt
of notification, did meet with the initiating parties and did
at this meeting on May 26, 1976, determine that the City would
accept the proposed annexation, that there will be no significant
adverse environmental effects resulting from annexation, and that
the City would require the assumption of all or any portion of exist-
ing City debts, as set out in the City Council minutes of May 26,
1976, and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation signed by the owners
of more than seventy-five per cent (75%) in value, according to
the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, was filed with the City on June 7, 1976,
and
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Boundary Review Board did on
September 30, 1976, vote to approve this proposed annexation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that notice of
the hearing of the petition be given and, thereafter a public hearing
was held on December 1, 1976, and following such public hearing
the City Council determined to annex said described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Bremerton does ordain:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land
be and the same hereby is annexed and incorporated within and
becomes a part of the City of Bremerton, to-wit:

That portion of Govt. Lot 1, Sec. 11, T24N,
R1E, W.M., described as follows: Beginning at
the Northeast corner of said Govt. Lot 1, thence
W along the N Line of said Govt. Lot 1, a distance
of 327.46 ft; thence S 666 ft; thence E 327.46 ft.
to the E line of said Govt. Lot 1; thence N along'
said E line 666 ft. to the Point of Beginning;
EXCEPT that portion thereof, if any, lying within
the W 30 acres of said Govt. Lot 1; situated in
Kitsap Co., Washington.
Section 2. That the said described area is hereby required
to assume all or any portion existing City debts.
Section 3. That the property herein described be and it is
hereby annexed to the City of Bremerton with Bremerton Residential-One
zoning use classification.
Section 4. The effective date of annexation shall be the
same as the effective date ofthis ordinance.
