Attorney / AN ORDINANCE adopting the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials Uniform Swimming Pool Code, 1976 Edition and providing penalties for the violation thereof. THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. This ordinance shall be known as the Swimming Pool Code and may be cited as such and shall be referred to herein as this code. Section 2. Adoption of the Uniform Swimming Pool Code. {-n 1976 edition of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials of Uniform Swimming Pool code, adopted and published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, is hereby adopted in its entirety by this reference pur- suant to the provisions of RCW 35.21.180 as the official code for the erection, installation, alteration, addition, repair, relocation, replacement, maintenance or use of any swimming pool or plumbing system in the City of Bremerton, except as otherwise provided for in the code. Such adoption by reference, however, shall be subject to the amendments and additions to the adopted Uniform Swimming Pool Code as may be set forth at a future time. Section 3. Violation and penalties: Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions of this code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed three hundred ($300.00) dollars or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days or by both fine and imprisonment. Each separate day or any portion thereof during which any violation of this code occurs or continues, shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable as herein provided. Section 4. Effective date: This ordinance shall be effective as of the 1st day of January, 1978. -1- APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading on this ~~day of ~ , 1977.
