AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorporating into
the corporate limits of the City of Bremerton lEO
certain lands lying outside the limits of tt~
City of Bremerton and being contiguous to t~.~¥.
City of Bremerton. (~erican Marine Bank).
WHER~S, written notification of their intention to com-
mence annexation proceedings was received by the City Council on
May 11, 1977, from the owners of not less than ten percent (10%)
in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxation
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, on the 14th day after receipt
of notification, did meet with the initiating parties and did at
this meeting on May 25, 1977, determine that the City would accept
the proposed annexation, and that the City would require the assump-
tion of all or any portion of existing City debts, as set out in the
City Council minutes of May 25, 1977, and
~EREAS, the Planning Director determined on June 20, 1977,
that there would be no significant adverse environmental impact
resulting from annexation, and
~EREAS, a petition for annexation signed by the owners
of more than seventy-five per cent (75%) in value, according to the
assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which
annexation is petitioned, was filed with the City on June 1, 1977,
and
~ER~S, the Kitsap County Bomndary Review Board did on
May 17, 1973, elect not to invoke jurisdiction in this proposed
annexation, and
~EREAS, the City Council has directed that notice of the
hearing of the petition be given and, thereafter a public hearing was
held on June 20, 1977, and followin~ such public hearing the City
Council determined to annex said described property.

NOW THEREFORE, the City of Bremerton does ordain:
Section 1. That the following described tract of land be
and the same hereby is annexed and incorporated within and becomes
a part of the City of Bremerton, to-wit:
PARCEL NUMBER ONE:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the SE 1/4 of
the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4, Section 12, T24N, R1E, W.M.
Kitsap County; thence east along the centerline ,of
Sheridan Road 130 feet; thence N 2°02'10'' E 165 feet;
thence N 88053'48" W 130 feet to the east line of the
plat Locust Hill Tracts Second Addition as recorded
in Volume 7, page 2, records of Kitsap County, WaSh-
ington; thence south along the said East line of
Locust Hill Tracts to the point of beginning;
PARCEL NUMBER TWO:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 18, 19 and 20, Locust Hill Tracts, Second
Addition, as recorded in Vol. 7, page 2, records of
Kitsap County. "Also that portion of the N 30 ft.
of Sheridan Rd. which abutts said Lots 1, 2 and 3 of
said plat."
Section 2. That the said described area is hereby required
to assume all or any portion of existing City debts.
Section 3. That the property herein described be and it is
hereby annexed to the City of Bremerton with Bremerton Business-
three (B-3) zoning use classification.
Section 4. The effective date of annexation shall be the
same as the effective date of this ordinance.
