AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No.' 3147,
Section IV, subsection H(4), which is codified
in the Bremerton Municipal Code as BMC 15.04.550(d)
and which relates to sewer construction charges.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN that Ordinance No. 3147,
Section IV, subsection H(4), codified as BMC 15.04.550(d) is
hereby amended to read:
4. Construction Charges.
a) Construction charges are from the date that
sewer service is made available to' occupied
property, but no later than the date the
sewer installation serving the property is
complete and accepted by the City.
b) Construction charges for those sewer facilities
not constructed by a private party as an extended
service shall be established by a special
ordinance covering said facilities. Starting
and ending dates for the construction charges
will be specified in the special ordinance.
c) Rates.
1) Class A sewer line connections - No charge.
2) Sewer line connections made subsequent to the
passage of this ordinance to residential
buildings with a total floor area of more
than 1500 square feet are to be assessed a
construction charge of Three Hundred Dollars
($300.00) per residential unit contained in
said building or Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)
per 1500 square feet of floor area in said
building, whichever amount is less.
3) Class B and C sewer line connections other
than those covered by Section 2 above are to be
assessed a construction charge of Three Hundred
Dollars ($300.00).
4) The construction charge for buildings outside
the corporate limits of the City of Bremerton
shall be one hundred fifty percent of the charges
set out above.
5) Any person who is presently paying a construction
charge of Three Dollars ($3.00) per month shall
have an amount equal to fifty percent of the
total construction charge paid prior to this
ordinance credited to the Three Hundred Dollar
($300.00) charge set out by this ordinance.
The balance of the Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)
may be paid in a lump sum or may be paid by

continuing Three Dollar ($3.00) monthly
payments, of which fifty percent of each
payment is to be applied to the construction
charge, such payments to continue then until
the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)
is paid in full.
APPROVED by the City Council on the first reading

PASSED by the City Council of the City of Bremerton,
signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this ~~day of May, 1977.
