AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 3317
Section 2 by adding a provision allowing the
services provided by said Ordinance to be
extended and providing the procedure for
such extension.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 3317, Section 2
is hereby amended to read as follows:
The City Clerk is hereby authorized to contract
with a non-public entity for lease of transportation
services for the residents of that area known as
i~arine Drive; said service to be the pickup of
residents of said area at their homes for transport to
a designated City bus stop, and pickups at said bus
stop for transport to their homes. Said service is
to be a pilot project for the purpose of providing
the City Council with necessary information regarding
the feasibility of offering such service within designated
areas of the City of Bremerton.
Should the pilot project prove, in the opinion of
the City Council, to be satisfactory, the City Council
may authorize such service to be instituted in otheN
areas served by Bremerton Municipal Transit. In that
case, the City Clerk shall extend the contract, as
specified in Section 4 herein, to such other areas as
the City Council shall designate. ~
