ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE accepting and incorpora-
ting into the corporate limits of the
City of Bremerton certain lands lying
outside the limits of the City of
Bremerton and being contiguous to the
City of Bremerton. (Cronkhite)
WHEREAS, written notification of their intention
to commence annexation proceedings was received by the
City Council on April 14, 1977, from the owners of
not less than ten percent (10%) in value according to
the assessed valuation for general taxation purposes,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council on the 41st day
after receipt of notification, did meet with the
initiating parties and did at this meeting on May 25,
1977, determine that the City would accept the proposed
annexation, and would require the assumption of all or
any portion of existing City debts and would accept the
area into the City of Bremerton's Residential-One
zoning use classification under the existing compre-
hensive plan, as set out in the City Council minutes
of May 25, 1977, and,
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation signed
by the owners of more than seventy-five percent
(75%) in value, according to the assessed valuation
for general taxation of the property for which annexa-
tion is petitioned, was filed with the City on July
1978, and,
WHEREAS, the Kitsap County Boundary Review
Board did invoke jurisdiction and on November 3, 1977
and February 2, 1978, held hearings on the proposed

annexation and on March 10, 1978, did approve the
annexation, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that
notice of the hearing of the petition be given and,
thereafter, a public hearing was held on August 8,
1978, and following such public hearing the City
Council determined to annex said described property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Bremerton
does ordain:
Section 1. That the following described
tract of land be and the same hereby is annexed and
incorporated within and becomes a part of the City
of Bremerton,' to-w~:
Lots 13 through 24, of the Plat of C.
Jack Jones Addition to the City of
Bremerton, pursuant to plats recorded
in Kitsap County, situated in Kitsap
County, Washington. Also that portion
of the right-of-way for Corbet Drive
and 15th Street lying E of the W margin
of Corbet Drive and west of Lot 24
of said Plat.
Section 2. That the property herein described
be and it is hereby annexed to the City of Bremerton
with Bremerton Residential-One zoning use classifica-
tion.
Section 3. That the property herein described
is hereby required to assume all or any portion of
existing City debts.
Section 4. The effective date of annexation
shall be the same as the effective date of this
ordinance.
