ORDINANCE NO. 3448
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance
[~k%'1~) No. 2888, Section 2, as amended
by Ordinance No. 3361 and 3425,
allowing taxicabs to be operated
with a temporary license issued
by the City Clerk.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2888
(Bremerton Municipal'~ Code 5.54.020) is amended to read:
LICENSE REQUIRED. No person shall operate or
permit a taxicab owned or controlled by him to be operated as
a vehicl, e for hire upon the streets of the City of Bremerton
without first having obtained a license from the City Council,
which shall be issued by the City Clerk. Provided, however,
the City Clerk may issue a temporary license which shall be
valid for a period of one calendar quarter. Said temporary
license may be renewed by the City Clerk if the licensee
demonstrates that he has grossed Three Thousand Dollars
($3,000.00) per month from the operation of each taxicab for
which said licenses were issued. In the event said operation
does not gross the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00)
then said temporary license shall not be renewed. This will
be determined by the City Auditor. If it is determined that
this revenue was produced and the B & 0 Tax was paid on any
quarter in the last twelve months, the temporary license shall
be renewed.
APPROVED by the City C.Qmmissioners on the first
reading this 25th day of 3uly, 1978.
PASSED by the City Commissioners of the City of
Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk in
authentication of such passage this 1st day of August, 1978.
