ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE amending Section 302 of Ordinance
No. 1792 concerning Home Occupation and adding
a Definition of Stock-in-trade.
THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Resolution No. 448 of the
Planning Commission of the City of Bremeton, a new section be
added to Title 1, Chapter II of Ordinance No. 1792 to read as
follows:
Section 39.1 "Stock-in-trade". Merchandise or
goods kept for sale or distribution. Also that
form of property owned by a craftsman upon which
he exercises his art, skill or workmanship and
upon which he uses thetools of his trade or business.
SECTION 2. That pursuant to Resolution No. 448 of the
Planning Commission of the City of Bremerton, Section 302 of Ordinance
No. 1792 be amended to read as follows:
Section 302. Home Occupation. The use of a residence
as a limited place of business by members of the resi-
dent family, so long as there is no outward appearance
of that activity and so long as the additional use
does not infringe upon the right of the neighboring
residents to enjoy the peaceful occupancy of their
homes, is permitted subject to the following condi-
tions:
1.No person shall be employed other than a member of
the family residing on the premises.
2. No sales shall be made on the premises except for
commodities which are processed, produced or
assembled on the premises.
3. The occupation or profession and all activities
of the home occupation including the storage or
display of equipment and stock-in-trade~,shall
be carried on wholly within the princip.i__e resi-
dence or other ordinary accessory buildings.
4. No more than one unlighted sign not exceeding two
square feet in size attached flat to 'the main
building bearing only the name and occupation.of
the occupant shall be permitted.
