HomeMy WebLinkAbout2560I'~ dRDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMRROVEMENT OF: Marion Avenue from 1st Street South 300 feet, and 1st Street from Marion Avenue to Yantic Avenue all in accordance with the plans, maps, and specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer; adopting said plane, maps and specifications; establishing an improvement district; providing for the levying of assessments for the payment of such improvement and making such improvement payable bv bonds, warrants or install- ment notes.' THE CITY OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Marion Avenue from 1st Street South 300 feet and lot Street from Marion Avenue to Yantic Avenue be improved by the construction of Sanitary Sewers and Appurtences, together with the doing of any and all work in connection therewith as may be necessary to make such improvement a complete job, all in accordance with the maps, plans and specifications now on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Bremerton. Section 2. That the maps, plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, now on file in the office of said City Engineer, for the a~oresaid improvement be and the same are hereby adopted. Section 3. That the cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against the propertV included in the assessment district hereinafter created, in accordance with the provisions of the Revised Code of Washington 35.N3.080 except such proportion of said cost as shall be borne by and paid for by the State of Washington or other governmental agency, which proportion of such cost and expense is hereby declared to be in accordance with the special benefits con~erred upon such property. Section q. That there is hereby established and created a local improvement district to be called and known as: Local Improvement.District No. 292 the boundaries of which are described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Marion Avenue with the centerline of 1st Street; thence East along the cente~li~e of let Street to the West margin of Yantic Avenue; thence South along the West ~argin of Yantic Avenue 265 feet; thence West along a kine which is parallel to 1st Street to the East margin o~ the plat of Baggerly Manor; thence 5curb along the East margin of Beggarly Manor to the South line 6f said Beggarly Manor; thence West along the South line of Beggarly ~4anor to the centerline of Marion Avenue; thence North along the centerline of Marion Avenue to the Point of beginning. ORDINANCE NO. Section 5. That the cost and expense of said improvement to be borne bV said improvement district and ex~.lusive of any portion borne b¥ either the State of Washington or other governmental agency shall be ssseased against eaid property included in said Improvement District in accordance with the'.special benefits it will derive f~om ~he improvement without ~ega~d to the zone and termini method, and in aooo~dance with the p~ovisions of the Revised Code of Washington 35.N3.080 and the ~emainde~ of said cost of the imp~ovement to be paid fo~ bv a~angement, if any, with the State of Washington o~ othe~ governmental agency. Section 6.
