in the 1963 budget and declaring' an emergency.
THE CI~I~f OF BREMERTON DOES ORDAIN:
Section t. There is hereby appropriated the sum of
$2;425.16 to the item 4.03 in the City Clerk's budget, ~rom funds
not otherwise appropriated.
Section 2. That ~since the adoption of the 1953 budget,
the County Auditor has filed claims for general and special election
costs in the above amount, for which the City is legally liable
and which claims could not have been anticipated at the time of
the adoption of the 1963 budget.
Section 3. That there exists and is hereby declared
to exist an~ emergency and this ordinance is necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safet?- of
the citizens of Bremerton and shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon passage and publication.

PASSED on second reading 'by the City Council of the
City of Bremerton, signed by the Mayor and attested by the City

E.H.T. McGOWAN, being first duly sworn, upon oath, deposes
and sa~s: That he is the duly elected, qualified and acting Clerk
of the City of Bremerton; that in the years 1962 and 1961 the
City became liable for certain general and special election costs
which were not certified by the County Auditor to the City of
Bremerton prior to the consideration and adoption of the 1963 budc3et
for the City of Bremerton; that after the adoption of the 1~353
budget the County Auditor has filed two (~) claims for general an~
special election costs in the sum of $2,&25.16 which the Cit~ is
leg'ally oblig~ated to pa~; that no provision was ~nade in the 15~3
budget for the pay~nent of election costs and that an emergency
appropriation is necessary.
